 ATIVE  RESOLUTION  congratulating Nicholas A. Johns upon the occa-
 f receiving the distinguished rank of Eagle Scout, the most  pres-
 s of Scouting honors

 S,  Nicholas A. Johns, through his diligence and rigorous efforts,
 hieved Scouting's highest and most prestigious rank, Eagle  Scout;
 agle Court of Honor ceremony will be held on Sunday, March 4, 2012
  Seaford Firehouse, Seaford, New York; and
 EAS, Nicholas A. Johns is a member of Boy Scouts of America  Troop
  Seaford; and
 EAS,  America  has  achieved her greatest heights of glory through
 dication, determination and tireless efforts  of  the  outstanding
 ns of this Nation; and
 EAS,  It  is only with the continued diligence and devotion of our
  tomorrow's leaders, that America will maintain her glory; and
 EAS, The Boy Scouts of America and its members  are  dedicated  to
 velopment of character and leadership in the youth of this Nation;

 EAS,  The highest achievement of leadership in Scouting, earned by
 ive percent of all Boy Scouts, is the distinguished rank of  Eagle
  and
 EAS,  This outstanding young man has been involved in Scouting for
 ears, has lived up to Scouting's ideals and has  attained  all  of
 ecessary achievements, including completion of a community service
 t, which was successfully planned, developed and executed; and
 EAS, For his Eagle project, Nicholas  A.  Johns  cleaned  out  and
 ted the Seaford Historical Society Museum attic; and
 EAS,  The  Seaford  Historical  Society Museum occupies a building
 was originally built as a school in 1893; the  building  has  been
 twice and also was a firehouse during its long history; and
 EAS,  The completion of Nicholas A. Johns' project has enabled the
  building to remain open during the winter months in order to help
 storical Society better achieve its goals of education and of  the
 vation and restoration of its many early Seaford artifacts; and
 EAS,  Nicholas  A. Johns' perseverance in rising through the ranks
 le Scout is a strong indication of his ability to master difficult
  his accomplishment will enable him to emerge as a  leader,  fully
 ed to meet the challenges of today's complex society; and
 EAS,  This  new Eagle Scout is a credit to his family, his school,
 mmunity, his State and his Nation, and no doubt his future will be
  with accomplishments of equal importance; now, therefore, be it
 LVED, That this Legislative Body pause in  its  deliberations,  in
 ition  of  the  significance  of  this meritorious achievement, to
 tulate and honor Nicholas A. Johns on achieving the rank of  Eagle
  and be it further
