 ATIVE  RESOLUTION  congratulating  Roy  Choi  upon the occasion of
 ing the distinguished rank of Eagle Scout, the most prestigious of
 ng honors

 S, The son of Hong and Su-Mi Choi, Roy Choi, through his diligence
 gorous efforts, has achieved Scouting's highest and  most  presti-
  rank, Eagle Scout; the Eagle Court of Honor ceremony will be held
 day, March 9, 2012, at the Sheraton LaGuardia East Hotel in Flush-
 ew York; and
 EAS, Roy Choi is a member of Boy  Scouts  of  America  Troop  255,
 r  New  York  Council  in  Whitestone,  New York, sponsored by the
  Camp Foundation; and
 EAS, America has achieved her greatest heights  of  glory  through
 edication,  determination  and tireless efforts of the outstanding
 ns of this Nation; and
 EAS, It is only with the continued diligence and devotion  of  our
  tomorrow's leaders, that America will maintain her glory; and
 EAS,  The  Boy  Scouts of America and its members are dedicated to
 velopment of character and leadership in the youth of this Nation;

 EAS, The highest achievement of leadership in Scouting, earned  by
 five percent of all Boy Scouts, is the distinguished rank of Eagle
  and
 EAS, This outstanding young man has been involved in Scouting  for
 years,  has  lived up to Scouting's ideals and has attained all of
 cessary achievements, including completion of a community  service
 t, which was successfully planned, developed and executed; and
 EAS,  For  his  Eagle project, Roy Choi restored one of the nature
  in one of the back-lying places of Kissena Park; the trail resto-
  involved a general clean up and the addition of about six  inches
 d chips, allowing ease of access to commuters and connecting parts
  park which had been uncared for some time; and
 EAS,  Roy Choi's perseverance in rising through the ranks to Eagle
 is a strong indication of his ability to master  difficult  tasks;
 complishment will enable him to emerge as a leader, fully equipped
 t the challenges of today's complex society; and
 EAS,  This  new Eagle Scout is a credit to his family, his school,
 mmunity, his State and his Nation, and no doubt his future will be
  with accomplishments of equal importance; now, therefore, be it
 LVED, That this Legislative Body pause in  its  deliberations,  in
 ition  of  the  significance  of  this meritorious achievement, to
 tulate and honor Roy Choi on achieving the rank  of  Eagle  Scout;
