ATIVE RESOLUTION honoring Angela Cigna Lukaszewski upon the occa- f her retirement S, New York State's commitment to education is unparalleled; its y and stature are secured by the superlative caliber of its educa- professionals and the students they inspire; and EAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to acknowledge the icant milestones in the distinguished careers of those outstanding ional leaders, whose dedication and achievements have been instru- in developing character and academic excellence in the young of New York State; and EAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long- ng traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to honor Cigna Lukaszewski upon the occasion of her retirement; and EAS, A High School Science Teacher for 33 years, 32 of them at t High School, and a 38-year Adjunct Associate Professor of Phys- t Hofstra University, Angela Lukaszewski is officially retiring in f 2012; and EAS, A research facilitator and publicist, Angela Lukaszewski was in her community and received several awards and accolades, ing the 1991 and 2002 New York Science Teachers Association's e Award, the 1996 New York Science Teachers Association's STANYS s Award, as well as the 1986 Suffolk County Science Teachers Asso- n's Service Award; because of her sincere dedication to Syosset, 1992, the high school has had numerous students who were Intel e Talent Search (Westinghouse) semi-finalists and finalists; and EAS, Educators like Angela Lukaszewski provide a tremendous e to the future of our State and Nation, inspiring generations of people in their educational journeys and ensuring their success in future years; and EAS, Angela Lukaszewski has clearly had an enduring impact on the of Syosset, as well as on the community-at-large, and accordingly recognition and applause for her impressive dedication to others; EAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to commend the s of those individuals who work to support our proud tradition of education by providing their skills and talents to our schools; herefore, be it LVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to Angela Cigna Lukaszewski upon the occasion of her retirement, and r significant contributions to education in New York State; and to her continued success in all of her future endeavors; and be it r LVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran- d to Angela Cigna Lukaszewski.
