 ATIVE  RESOLUTION  honoring  Lenny  Heide upon the occasion of his
 ation as Man of the Year by the Merrick  Chamber  of  Commerce  on
 y 27, 2011

 S, It is the practice of this Legislative Body to take note of and
 ly  acknowledge  individuals of remarkable integrity and character
 ve inspired and brought pride to our majestic  Empire  State  with
 strong contributions to the community and model citizenship; and
 EAS,  Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
 ng traditions, this Legislative Body  is  justly  proud  to  honor
  Heide  upon the occasion of his designation as Man of the Year by
 rrick Chamber of Commerce at its Annual Installation  Dinner  held
 rsday, January 27, 2011, at the Chateau Briand; and
 EAS, Individuals who give of their time and energies and serve the
 nterests of their communities are an asset beyond remuneration and
  be sufficiently extolled; and
 EAS,  A  man  of singular distinction, Lenny Heide has continually
 trated extreme competence, extraordinary intelligence and diligent
 ship in his unwavering service to his community and profession and
 en designated for this most prestigious award; and
 EAS, Lenny Heide, Chief Custodian at Calhoun  High  School,  works
 ssly  to  keep  the  school  in  its  best  condition, and takes a
 al interest in many of the students he encounters;  he  loves  the
 k  community  and  was recognized for his holiday light display in
 and
 EAS, Planning to build a greenhouse  with  life  skills  students,
  Heide  helps  in  any way he can to improve the lives of those in
 and demonstrates the ability that everyone has to make  a  differ-
  a  true  asset  to  society, he uses his job as an avenue to help
 ; and
 EAS, Throughout the entire period  of  his  community  service,  a
   of  constructive  involvement, Lenny Heide has stood constant in
 y, good grace and humor; and

 EAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that  when  individ-
