 ATIVE  RESOLUTION congratulating Brianna Dara upon the occasion of
 ing the distinguished Girl Scout Gold Award, the most  prestigious
 l Scouting honors, on May 13, 2011

 S,  Brianna  Dara, through her diligence and rigorous efforts, has
 ed Girl Scouting's highest and most prestigious  honor,  the  Girl
  Gold  Award; she will be honored by the Massapequa Association of
 couts at the association's 16th Annual Awards Ceremony, to be held
 day, May 13, 2011, at the McKenna Elementary School in  Massapequa
 New York; and
 EAS,  America  has  achieved her greatest heights of glory through
 dication, determination and tireless efforts  of  the  outstanding
 ns of this nation; and
 EAS,  It  is only with the continued diligence and devotion of our
  tomorrow's leaders, that America will maintain her glory; and
 EAS, Girl Scouts of America and its members are dedicated  to  the
 pment of character and leadership in the youth of this nation; and
 EAS,  Since  1980,  Senior  Girl Scouts have capped their years of
 ement in Girl Scouting with the Girl Scout Gold Award; and
 EAS, In order to earn the Girl  Scout  Gold  Award,  a  girl  must
 te  five  requirements,  all  of  which demand efficient organiza-
 , time  management,  and  leadership  skills;  chief  among  these
 ements  is  the  design  and  completion  of  a Gold Award Service
 t which must build upon the  interests  of  the  girl,  provide  a
 e to the community, and be of lasting benefit; and
 EAS,  This  outstanding  young woman has been involved in Scouting
 ars, has lived up to Scouting's ideals and has attained all of the
 ary achievements; and
 EAS, Brianna Dara is a credit  to  her  family,  her  school,  her
 ity,  her  State  and  her nation, and no doubt her future will be
  with accomplishments of equal importance; now, therefore, be it
 LVED, That this Legislative Body pause in  its  deliberations,  in
 ition  of  the  significance  of  this meritorious achievement, to
 tulate and honor Brianna Dara upon the occasion of her designation
  recipient of a Girl Scout Gold Award on May 13, 2011; and  be  it
