 ATIVE  RESOLUTION  commemorating  the  10th Annual EagleFest cele-
 n to be held on January 15, 2011

 S, From time to time this Legislative Body takes note  of  certain
 rdinary  organizations  it  wishes  to  recognize for their valued
 butions to the  success  and  progress  of  society  and  publicly
 ledge their endeavors which have enhanced the basic humanity among
 ; and
 EAS,  Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
 ng traditions, this Legislative Body is justly  proud  to  commend
 laware Valley Eagle Alliance upon the occasion of hosting its 10th
   EagleFest  celebration  on January 15, 2011, in Narrowsburg, New
 and
 EAS, The Delaware Valley Eagle Alliance and  the  Town  of  Tusten
 ost this year's special event; and
 EAS, Under the luminous leadership of Yoke DiGiorgio, the Delaware
   Eagle Alliance is a not-for-profit organization whose mission is
 rease awareness, understanding and promote conservation  of  wild-
 and  the  natural  environment; its members harbor a dedication to
 ng  awareness  through  publications,  educational  programs   and
 ; and
 EAS,  Wildlife and environmental conservation and preservation are
 nges that touch all of us; the EagleFest was  established  by  the
 ce  in an effort to foster awareness toward conservation and vital
 l resources; and
 EAS, The festival is built on the belief that the preservation and
 dship of the natural world is essential to the  continued  growth,
 pment and prosperity of all life that exists on Earth; and
 EAS, EagleFest is a one-day event held each year in January in the
 of  Narrowsburg;  the event is enhanced annually with new speakers
 esentations to provide all who attend an opportunity  to  see  and
 ence new and interesting programs; and
 EAS,  EagleFest  combines  entertainment  and  education  for  all
 ees, brings local residents and out-of-town visitors of  all  ages
 e  day's  multi-faceted  series  of  activities;  it  directs much
 ed attention to the natural resources that  enrich  lives  in  the
 re River Valley region; and
 EAS,  This  eventful  program  includes multiple live bird of prey
 trations, and  lectures  by  biologists  and  conservationists  on
 ant current wildlife and conservational issues; and
 EAS, Included in this auspicious event are wildlife films, photog-
  exhibits, eagle viewing, a nature and wildlife art show, a silent
 n of wildlife art by  regional  artists  and  numerous  children's
 ms; and
 EAS,  It is the sense of this Legislative Body that the continuing
 e of the citizens of the State of New York is greatly enriched and
 ly served by the purposeful endeavors of  organizations  that  are
 ted  to  the  preservation  of  our  natural  environment  and the
 ement of the appreciation  of  the  distinctive  features  of  our
 ndings,  and to the economic well-being of the areas in which they
  now, therefore, be it
 LVED, That this Legislative Body pause  in  its  deliberations  to

 11; and be it further
 LVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
