 ATIVE  RESOLUTION  congratulating Jenna Brown upon the occasion of
 ing the distinguished Girl Scout Gold Award, the most  prestigious

 S,  Jenna  Brown,  through her diligence and rigorous efforts, has
 ed Scouting's highest and most prestigious honor, the  Girl  Scout
 ward; and
 EAS, Jenna Brown will receive the award at a Girl Scouts of North-
 n  New  York  ceremony to be held at the Queensbury Hotel in Glens
  New York on Sunday, June 5, 2011; and
 EAS, America has achieved her greatest heights  of  glory  through
 edication,  determination  and tireless efforts of the outstanding
 ns of this Nation; and
 EAS, It is only with the continued diligence and devotion  of  our
  tomorrow's leaders, that America will maintain her glory; and
 EAS,  Girl  Scouts of America and its members are dedicated to the
 pment of character and leadership in the youth of this Nation; and
 EAS, Since 1980, Senior Girl Scouts have  capped  their  years  of
 ement in Girl Scouting with the Girl Scout Gold Award; and
 EAS,  In  order  to  earn  the  Girl Scout Gold Award, a girl must
 l five requirements; chief among them is the design and completion
 old Award Project; this project must build upon the  interests  of
 rl, provide a service to the community, and be of lasting benefit;

 EAS,  This  outstanding  young woman has been involved in Scouting
 ars, has lived up to Scouting's ideals and has attained all of the
 ary achievements; and
 EAS, Jenna Brown is a credit to her family, her school, her commu-
 her State and her Nation, and no doubt her future will  be  filled
 ccomplishments of equal importance; now, therefore, be it
 LVED,  That  this  Legislative Body pause in its deliberations, in
 ition of the significance  of  this  meritorious  achievement,  to
 tulate  and honor Jenna Brown upon the occasion of her designation
  recipient of a Girl Scout Gold Award; and be it further
 LVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
 d to Jenna Brown.
