 ATIVE  RESOLUTION  honoring  Kim  Nixon for her outstanding accom-
 ents as a participant in the Body by Denise Program

 S, It is the sense of  this  Legislative  Body  to  recognize  and
 d  those  individuals  who  distinguish  themselves  through their
 ional personal triumphs; and
 EAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its  long-
 ng  traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to honor Kim
 for her outstanding accomplishments as a participant in  the  Body
 ise Program, to be celebrated on Friday, June 24, 2011; and
 EAS,  The Body by Denise (BBD) Program began in 1987, with a small
 of men and women in one of the Rochdale Village  community  rooms,
 d  in  Queens, New York; today, it has become an intense, yet fun-
 , group fitness class that services well over 200  men  and  women
 he five boroughs of New York, and Nassau, Suffolk, and Westchester
 es; and
 EAS,  Every  Tuesday and Thursday evening, the ballroom is pumping
 igh energy to the sounds of mesmerizing Hip-Hop House, dance-aero-
 ats; and
 EAS, BBD  offers  a  20-30  minute  muscle  conditioning  warm-up,
 ed by a 60-90 minute low impact, high energy house hip-hop aerobic
  class;  the  steps are geared to work every major muscle group in
 dy with simple, yet funky moves that will keep your body, mind and
  energized throughout the entire routine; and
 EAS, The men and women who participate get a well-rounded  workout
  community with the same flavor as a health club; and
 EAS,  A  notable  member of BBD, Kim Nixon, who lost a significant
  of weight, has attained the highest of personal  achievement  and
 en designated as a "BBD Superstar"; and
 EAS,  It  is the sense of this Legislative Body that when individ-
 f such noble aims and accomplishments are brought  to  our  atten-
  they  should  be celebrated and recognized by all the citizens of
 reat Empire State; now, therefore, be it
 LVED, That this Legislative Body pause  in  its  deliberations  to
  Kim Nixon for her outstanding accomplishments as a participant in
 dy by Denise Program; and be it further
 LVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
 d to Kim Nixon.
