LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION commending Katherine Schrenker, 2011 Salutatorian of Byron-Bergen High School in recognition of her outstanding accom plishment
WHEREAS, It is the custom of this Legislative Body to honor the youth of today -- the leaders of tomorrow -- whose character and achievements exemplify the ideals and values cherished by this great State and Nation; and WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to recognize and commend Katherine Schrenker, the 2011 Salutatorian of Byron-Bergen High School, Bergen, New York, in recognition of her outstanding academ ic performance and exemplary achievement; and WHEREAS, Katherine Schrenker may now stand with pride as she assesses her achievements, experiences the satisfaction of her labors and the joy of her accomplishments, eager to face the new experiences of a challeng ing world; and WHEREAS, This exceptional student of Byron-Bergen High School repres ents the potential inherent in our most precious resource, our youth; her achievements have brought enduring honor to her family and community and should be recognized and saluted; and WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to commend students of outstanding character who have shown initiative and a commitment to constantly pursuing higher goals for themselves, and act as role models of leadership to be emulated by their peers; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to commend Katherine Schrenker, 2011 Salutatorian of Byron-Bergen High School, in recognition of her outstanding accomplishment, and to extend to her the best wishes of this Legislative Body for a future of purpose ful success and well-being; and be it further RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran smitted to Katherine Schrenker.
