LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION commending Thomas J. Parmenter, 2011 Salutatorian of Pavilion High School in recognition of his outstanding accomplishment WHEREAS, It is the custom of this Legislative Body to honor the youth of today -- the leaders of tomorrow -- whose character and achievements exemplify the ideals and values cherished by this great State and Nation; and WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long- standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to recognize and commend Thomas J. Parmenter, the 2011 Salutatorian of Pavilion High School, Pavilion, New York, in recognition of his outstanding academic performance and exemplary achievement; and WHEREAS, Thomas J. Parmenter may now stand with pride as he assesses his achievements, experiences the satisfaction of his labors and the joy of his accomplishments, eager to face the new experiences of a challeng- ing world; and WHEREAS, This exceptional student of Pavilion High School represents the potential inherent in our most precious resource, our youth; his achievements have brought enduring honor to his family and community and should be recognized and saluted; and WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to commend students of outstanding character who have shown initiative and a commitment to constantly pursuing higher goals for themselves, and act as role models of leadership to be emulated by their peers; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to commend Thomas J. Parmenter, 2011 Salutatorian of Pavilion High School, in recognition of his outstanding accomplishment, and to extend to him the best wishes of this Legislative Body for a future of purposeful success and well-being; and be it further RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran- smitted to Thomas J. Parmenter.
