ATIVE RESOLUTION congratulating Mr. and Mrs. Norman Holmes upon casion of their 60th Wedding Anniversary S, Marlene and Norman Holmes of Hannibal, New York were united in ge in Fairbanks, Alaska on September 7, 1951 while Norman was g in the military; and EAS, On September 7, 2011 they joyously celebrated their 60th rsary surrounded by their family with a dinner at the South Forty rant hosted by their children David and Linda Holmes, Mark Holmes, Fairbanks, Cindy and Chris Castaldo, Mona and Randy Hendricks, e and Steve Hanlon, Brenda and Bill Matson, Shelly and Tim u, and Cathy Wiggins; and EAS, Many of their cherished grandchildren and great-grandchildren ttended and the occasion was made even more special by the se appearance of Marlene's sister and brother-in-law Mikki and Roy from Minnesota; and EAS, Marlene and Norman Holmes are and always have been a tower of th, support, understanding and limitless love for their family; EAS, Their love, devotion, caring, sensitivity and responsiveness eir family, friends and all who know them are their hallmark and ion; and EAS, Marlene and Norman Holmes have lived and continue to live lives with great dignity and genuine grace, always demonstrating a and continuing concern for human values and ideals, and in so they have inspired others to do the same; and EAS, This meaningful occasion is the result of the love, hard work irit that this couple has invested in their marriage; and EAS, These same values they have passed to their loved ones, ing a family that is close-knit and supportive of its individual s, public-minded in its relations to the community and committed ideals of citizenship upon which this Nation was founded; and EAS, Marlene and Norman Holmes have touched the lives of their and many friends through the shining example of their marriage, is a testament to the devotion and admiration which they possess e another; and EAS, The longevity of this enduring marriage truly marks a mile- in life's journey, an event of personal triumph and joy; and EAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that when an occa- f such importance is brought to our attention, the same should be alized by us for the edification and emulation of others; now, ore, be it LVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to tulate Marlene and Norman Holmes upon the occasion of their 60th g Anniversary; and be it further LVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran- d to Mr. and Mrs. Norman Holmes, 280 Church Street, Apartment 4, al, New York 13074.
