ATIVE RESOLUTION congratulating Amber Clark upon the occasion of ing the distinguished Girl Scout Gold Award, the most prestigious uting honors S, Amber Clark is a member of Watertown, New York Girl Scouts of a Troop 50013 affiliated with the Girl Scouts of NYPENN Pathways l; and EAS, Amber Clark, through her diligence and rigorous efforts, has ed Scouting's highest and most prestigious honor, the Girl Scout Award; she will be honored at a Girl Scouts of NYPENN Pathways Women of Distinction event in May 2012; and EAS, America has achieved her greatest heights of glory through edication, determination and tireless efforts of the outstanding ns of this nation; and EAS, It is only with the continued diligence and devotion of our tomorrow's leaders, that America will maintain her glory; and EAS, Girl Scouts of America and its members are dedicated to the pment of character and leadership in the youth of this nation; and EAS, Since 1980, Senior Girl Scouts in Grades 9-12 have capped years of achievement in Girl Scouting with the Girl Scout Gold and EAS, In order to earn the Girl Scout Gold Award, a girl must l five requirements; chief among them is the design and completion Gold Award Project; this project must build upon the interests of rl, provide a service to the community, and be of lasting benefit; EAS, For her Gold Award Project, Amber Clark brought a Traveling uilt to a Troop meeting and discussed facts about AIDS; and EAS, This outstanding young woman has been involved in Scouting ars, has lived up to Scouting's ideals and has attained all of the ary achievements; and EAS, Amber Clark is a credit to her family, her school, her commu- her State and her nation, and no doubt her future will be filled ccomplishments of equal importance; now, therefore, be it LVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations, in ition of the significance of this meritorious achievement, to tulate and honor Amber Clark upon the occasion of her designation recipient of a Girl Scout Gold Award; and be it further LVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran- d to Amber Clark.
