 LEGISLATIVE  RESOLUTION  commending  the  Lions Club of Seaford upon the
 occasion of its 60th Anniversary
 WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to recognize organiza
 tions which work to improve the quality of life for others; and
 WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern and fully in accord with its  long
 standing  traditions, it is the intent of this Legislative Body to honor
 the Lions Club of Seaford upon the occasion of its 60th Anniversary; and
 WHEREAS, The Lions Club of Seaford, New  York,  is  renowned  for  its
 dedication  to its Seaford community and its residents; part of a world
 wide service club organization known as the International Association of
 Lions Clubs, with 46,000 clubs in 206 countries  and  geographic  areas,
 and  1.35  million  members  dedicated  to identifying and meeting local
 community needs, the Lions Club of Seaford may be justly  proud  of  its
 history  of support of Lions Clubs International and of local charitable
 projects; and
 WHEREAS, Chartered on January 29, 1952, the Lions  Club  of  Seaford's
 dedicated  members  have created an enduring legacy of service and pride
 of community; the Club is well-known for its efforts on behalf of  those
 in need; and
 WHEREAS,  The  Lions  Club of Seaford, in conjunction with Lions Clubs
 International, works diligently to assist blind  and  visually  impaired
 individuals who do not have the resources to obtain adequate care; and
 WHEREAS,  The  Lions  Club  of  Seaford  and its members exemplify the
 Lions' motto, "WE SERVE"; the dedication to community service  prevalent
 among  all  those  associated  with  the club merits the recognition and
 applause of this Legislative Body and the appreciation of all those  who
 benefit from its services; now, therefore, be it
 RESOLVED,  That  this  Legislative  Body pause in its deliberations to
 commend the Lions Club of Seaford, and its members,  past  and  present,
 upon the occasion of its 60th Anniversary and celebration of 60 years of
 community service; and be it further
 RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran
 smitted to the Lions Club of Seaford.
