 ATIVE  RESOLUTION  congratulating Mr. and Mrs. Allen Wood upon the
 on of their 50th Wedding Anniversary

 S, Allen Wood and Sharon Roberts of Saranac, New York, were united
 riage on October  14,  1961,  at  Assumption  of  Mary  Church  in
 d, New York; and
 EAS,  They  are  the  proud  parents  of Robin and Mark Randall of
 burgh; Sally Wood and Shane Jabaut, also of Plattsburgh; and  Carl
 mela Wood of Naples, Florida, and have eight grandchildren and one
 grandchild; and
 EAS,  They  joyously  celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary on
 r 14, 2011, and a party was given in their honor  on  October  15,
 at the Quality of Work Life Building in Dannemora; and
 EAS,  Allen  Wood  is retired from Georgia Pacific; Sharon Wood is
 d from Maggy Pharmacy and they both enjoy spending their free time
 heir children and grandchildren; and
 EAS, Sharon and Allen Wood are and always have  been  a  tower  of
 th,  support,  understanding  and limitless love for their family;

 EAS, Their love, devotion, caring, sensitivity and  responsiveness
 eir  family,  friends and all who know them are their hallmark and
 ion; and
 EAS, Sharon and Allen Wood have lived and continue to  live  their
  with great dignity and genuine grace, always demonstrating a deep
 ntinuing concern for human values and ideals,  and  in  so  doing,
 ave inspired others to do the same; and
 EAS, This meaningful occasion is the result of the love, hard work
 irit that this couple has invested in their marriage; and
 EAS,  These  same  values  they  have  passed to their loved ones,
 ing a family that is close-knit and supportive of  its  individual
 s,  public-minded  in its relations to the community and committed
  ideals of citizenship upon which this Nation was founded; and
 EAS, Sharon and Allen Wood have touched the lives of their  family
 ny friends through the shining example of their marriage, which is
 tament  to  the devotion and admiration which they possess for one
 r; and
 EAS, The longevity of this enduring marriage truly marks  a  mile-
 in life's journey, an event of personal triumph and joy; and
 EAS,  It  is the sense of this Legislative Body that when an occa-
 f such importance is brought to our attention, the same should  be
 alized  by  us  for  the edification and emulation of others; now,
