 ATIVE  RESOLUTION  celebrating the opening of the new Roscoe-Rock-
 irehouse in Roscoe, New York

 S, This Legislative Body is proud to celebrate the opening of  the
 scoe-Rockland firehouse in Roscoe, New York, and to honor the past
 resent firefighting members of the Roscoe-Rockland Fire Department
 eir years of fire protection to the citizens  of  Roscoe-Rockland,
 rk; and
 EAS, After a decade of planning, the new Roscoe-Rockland firehouse
 scoe,  New York, has opened in the old Kirchner's Chevrolet build-

 EAS, The new Roscoe-Rockland firehouse is the pride and joy of the
 ghters of the Roscoe-Rockland Fire Department who put their blood,
 and tears into the renovation  of  the  old  Kirchner's  Chevrolet
 ng; and
 EAS,  In addition to the efforts of the Roscoe-Rockland firefight-
 d their families to launch the new Roscoe-Rockland firehouse,  the
 s of the Ladies Auxiliary, fire commissioners, and volunteers from
 hout  the town contributed mightily to successfully completing the
 t; and
 EAS, Fire departments are an integral part of community protection
 es in every locality of our State;  during  the  past  years,  the
 eous  and devoted firefighters of the Roscoe-Rockland Fire Depart-
 n Roscoe, New York, have valiantly responded to all types of  fire
 ncies  and  have won the praise and respect of the community which
 erve; and
 EAS, With a membership of dedicated firefighters,  the  record  of
 Roscoe-Rockland   Fire  Department  in  public  service  and  fire
 tion is one to be envied; for 24 hours a day, for 365 days a year,
 er the alarm sounded, these noble volunteers left their homes  and
 o the aid of their neighbors; and
 EAS, The brave firefighters of the Roscoe-Rockland Fire Department
 repared  to  risk  their lives every day to help save the lives of
  and to protect homes and property from the destruction caused  by
 and
 EAS,  In addition to the skill and devoted service demonstrated by
 dual firefighters, the Roscoe-Rockland  Fire  Department  reflects
 story and development of firefighting over the years; and
 EAS,  This Legislative Body cannot express sufficient gratitude to
 devoted individuals who recognize that the  preservation  of  life
 operty is a sacred responsibility and who make that responsibility
 own by serving as firefighters; and
 EAS,  It is the sense of this Legislative Body that we should give
 l recognition to those who work so assiduously for the  betterment
 eir  communities,  and  acknowledge publicly the heroic good works
 med by the volunteer fire departments of this great Empire  State,
 officers and auxiliaries; now, therefore, be it
 LVED,  That  this  Legislative  Body pause in its deliberations to
