 LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION honoring Cody Ryan upon the occasion of receiving
 a  2012  State  University  of  New  York Chancellor's Award for Student
 Excellence
 WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to honor the youth  of
 today,  and  leaders of tomorrow, whose character and achievements exem
 plify the ideals and values cherished by this great  State  and  nation;
 and
 WHEREAS,  Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long
 standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to honor Cody
 Ryan, of Bethpage, New York, upon the occasion of receiving a 2012 State
 University of New York Chancellor's Award for Student Excellence; and
 WHEREAS, A student at Nassau Community College, Cody Ryan is  a  young
 man  of  singular  distinction  and superlative abilities who has estab
 lished a high standard of academic excellence and purposefulness of life
 rarely achieved in youthful years; and
 WHEREAS, The Chancellor's Award for Student Excellence was created  in
 to recognize State University students who have integrated academic
 excellence  with outstanding accomplishments in the areas of leadership,
 athletics, community service, creative and performing  arts,  or  career
 achievement; and
 WHEREAS,  Poised  eagerly with enthusiasm and determined purpose, Cody
 Ryan now stands honorably, with just pride in his accomplishments and in
 eager anticipation of future challenges, understanding and  appreciating
 the  caring  counsel  and  support provided by his teachers, friends and
 family; and
 WHEREAS, It is the sense of this  Legislative  Body  that  when  young
 people  of such noble aims and accomplishments are brought to our atten
 tion, they should be celebrated and recognized by all  the  citizens  of
 the great State of New York; now, therefore, be it
 RESOLVED,  That  this  Legislative  Body pause in its deliberations to
 honor Cody Ryan upon the occasion of receiving a 2012  State  University
 of  New York Chancellor's Award for Student Excellence, and to extend to
 him its best wishes for a future of purposeful success  and  well-being,
 fully  confident  of his response to a promising future and appreciative
 of the model he represents for all aspiring young people of  the  Empire
 State; and be it further
 RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran
 smitted to Cody Ryan.
