ATIVE RESOLUTION honoring distinguished veteran Thomas W. Corbin orial Day 2012 S, Members of the Armed Services from the State of New York, who served so valiantly and honorably in wars in which this country's m was at stake, as well as in the preservation of peace in peace- deserve a special salute from this Legislative Body and the people State of New York; and EAS, Residents of this great State must never forget the courage hich these men and women have served their country; and EAS, On Memorial Day this Legislative Body is particularly proud mmend those who have served our country in times of active ct, as well as those who have served in times of peace; and EAS, This Legislative Body is justly proud to honor distinguished n Thomas W. Corbin on May 28, 2012, Memorial Day; and EAS, Thomas Corbin served with honor as a member of the United Marine Corps during the Vietnam War from 1962 until his discharge ober 1966 as a Field Radio Operator with the 81 mm mortar platoon, g numerous awards and medals including the Good Conduct Medal, al Defense Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Cross of Gallan- d the expert marksman badges for the M14 and the .45 caliber ; and EAS, Thomas Corbin is a retired Supervisor for the New York City nd EAS, A resident of Middle Village, Queens, New York, Thomas Corbin s wife Donna have three children and four grandchildren, all of are proud to be part of his life and rejoice in his many accom- ents; and EAS, Thomas Corbin is the Treasurer and a Life Member of the Viet- terans of America (VVA) Queens Chapter 32; and EAS, Thomas Corbin has exhibited his patriotism both at home and , demonstrating his love for his country and meriting forevermore, ghest respect of his State and Nation; and EAS, Our Nation's veterans deserve to be recognized, commended and d by the people of the State of New York for their service and for dedication to their communities, their State and their Nation; herefore, be it LVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to distinguished veteran Thomas W. Corbin on Memorial Day 2012; and further LVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran- d to Thomas W. Corbin.
