ATIVE RESOLUTION honoring Police Chief Reevie A. Rockhill upon the on of his retirement from the Carthage Police Department S, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to recognize and honor distinguished officers and citizens who would devote themselves to service, demonstrating great courage and diligence in providing e care and welfare of the citizens of their communities and this Empire State; and EAS, Within every community of the State of New York there are n individuals who, by virtue of their commitment and dedication, d the respect and admiration of their community for their exem- contributions and service on behalf of others; and EAS, This Legislative Body is justly proud to honor Police Chief A. Rockhill upon the occasion of his retirement from the Carthage Department; and EAS, Reevie A. Rockhill served his country as a Sergeant of the Corps for five years before entering a career in law enforcement he Barre Town, Vermont police force; and EAS, Reevie A. Rockhill was hired as a Carthage police officer in nd, since 2002, has rendered faithful, conscientious and valuable e as Chief of the Carthage Police Department; and EAS, His achievements as police chief included the introduction of ter rescue training for the Carthage police force, and working ocal teenagers to establish a skateboard park for the village; and EAS, In his capacity as Chief of the Department, Reevie A. Rock- as served with loyalty, honor and distinction; and EAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that those dedicated servants who unselfishly devote their lives to the preservation er and the protection of others are worthy and due full praise for commitment and noble endeavors; now, therefore, be it LVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to Police Chief Reevie A. Rockhill upon the occasion of his retire- rom the Carthage Police Department; and be it further LVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran- d to Police Chief Reevie A. Rockhill.
