LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION commending Katherine Miller, the 2012 Valedicto- rian of Kenmore West High School, in recognition of her outstanding accomplishment WHEREAS, It is the custom of this Legislative Body to honor the youth of today -- the leaders of tomorrow -- whose character and achievements exemplify the ideals and values cherished by this great State and Nation; and WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long- standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to recognize and commend Katherine Miller, the 2012 Valedictorian of Kenmore West High School, in recognition of her outstanding accomplishment; and WHEREAS, Katherine Miller, Kenmore West High School's 2012 Valedicto- rian is being commended for her outstanding academic performance and exemplary achievements; and WHEREAS, Katherine Miller may now stand with pride as she assesses her achievements, experiences the satisfaction of her labors and the joy of her accomplishments, eager to face the experiences of a challenging world; and WHEREAS, This exceptional Kenmore West High School student represents the potential inherent in our most precious resource, our youth; her achievements have brought enduring honor to her family and community and should be recognized and saluted; and WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to commend students of outstanding character who have shown initiative and a commitment to the pursuit of higher goals for themselves and act as role models of leadership to be emulated by their peers; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to commend Katherine Miller, the 2012 Valedictorian of Kenmore West High School, in recognition of her outstanding accomplishments, and to extend to her the best wishes of this Legislative Body for a future of purpose- ful success and well-being; and be it further RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran- smitted to Katherine Miller.
