LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION congratulating Andy Frey upon the occasion of his designation for special honor by the Cornell University Cooperative Extension 4-H Program on March 1, 2011 WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to honor the youth of today, and leaders of tomorrow, whose character and achievements best exemplify the ideals and values cherished by this great State and Nation; and WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long- standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to congratu- late Andy Frey upon the occasion of his designation for special honor by the Cornell University Cooperative Extension 4-H Program on March 1, 2011; and WHEREAS, Andy Frey is a junior at Monroe-Woodbury High School and an eight-year member of 4-H; he is a member of the Orange County Hare Rais- ers 4-H club specializing in animal sciences concerning rabbits; and WHEREAS, Excelling in public speaking, Andy Frey has taught subject matter as a junior leader and has earned numerous awards at rabbit shows; he has shown leadership in his club as an officer on various levels including president; and WHEREAS, A young man of singular distinction and superlative ability, Andy Frey has established a purposefulness of life rarely achieved in youthful years; he represents the best development of the potential which is inherent in our most precious resource, our youth; and WHEREAS, Poised eagerly with enthusiasm and determined purpose, Andy Frey now stands honorably, with just pride in his accomplishments and in eager anticipation of future challenges, understanding and appreciating the caring counsel and support provided by his teachers, family and friends; and WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that when young people of such noble aims and accomplishments are brought to our atten- tion, they should be celebrated and recognized by all the citizens of the great State of New York; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to congratulate Andy Frey upon the occasion of his designation for special honor by the Cornell University Cooperative Extension 4-H Program on March 1, 2011, and to extend to him its best wishes for a future of purposeful success and well-being, fully confident of his response to a promising future and appreciative of the model he represents for all aspiring young people of the Empire State; and be it further RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran- smitted to Andy Frey.
