ATIVE RESOLUTION honoring Philip A. Crotty upon the occasion of tirement after many years of distinguished service to the Orange Industrial Development Agency S, This Legislative Body seeks to acknowledge those individuals professional lives and civic endeavors serve to enhance the stat- the State of New York; and EAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long- ng traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to honor A. Crotty upon the occasion of his retirement after many years of guished service to the Orange County Industrial Development Agen- d EAS, Philip A. Crotty was commissioned as a member of the Army e Officer Training Corps, Fordham University, in 1964; he retired 2 with the rank of Lieutenant Colonel, United States Air Force e; and EAS, A graduate of both Fordham University and Pace University, A. Crotty continued on to earn a Juris Doctor degree from Hofstra sity in 1973; and EAS, Philip A. Crotty served in private practice until 2005 as a ng partner of Duggan, Crotty, and Dunn, P.C.; furthermore, between nd 1980 as well as between 1996 and 2005, he served as a municipal ey for the Town of New Windsor, New York; and EAS, Since 2005, Philip A. Crotty has rendered faithful, conscien- and valuable service to the Orange County Industrial Development , serving with loyalty, honor and distinction as the agency's ey; and EAS, During his tenure with the Orange County Industrial Develop- gency, Philip A. Crotty designed an innovative payment-in-lieu of (PILOT) program for attracting businesses to Orange County from oring States and foreign countries, resulting in the creation of han one thousand new and high-paying jobs; and EAS, Philip A. Crotty also conceived the idea of an Orange County ss accelerator to attract and assist entrepreneurial companies; EAS, In 2011-2012, Philip A. Crotty introduced the Orange County rial Development Agency and SUNY Orange to a critical program for ng hi-tech, advanced manufacturing to students of all ages in County; he also obtained funding for a pilot project involving erized-numerically-controlled machines; and EAS, In his official acts, Philip A. Crotty was governed by a keen of duty and always showed a unique grasp of human problems; and EAS, With him throughout have been his wife, Laurie, and their hildren and five grandchildren, all of whom feel privileged to be of his life and rejoice in his many achievements; and EAS, During his tenure with the Orange County Industrial Develop- Agency, Philip A. Crotty earned the admiration, esteem and ion of his colleagues; now, therefore, be it LVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to Philip A. Crotty upon the occasion of his retirement after many of distinguished service to the Orange County Industrial Develop- gency; and be it further LVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran- d to Philip A. Crotty.
