LEGISLATIVE  RESOLUTION commending Taylor Doty, the 2012 Salutatorian of
Elba High School, in recognition of her outstanding accomplishment

WHEREAS, It is the custom of this Legislative Body to honor the youth of
today -- the leaders of tomorrow --  whose  character  and  achievements
exemplify  the  ideals  and  values  cherished  by  this great State and
Nation; and
  WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its  long-
standing  traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to recognize
and commend Taylor Doty, the 2012 Salutatorian of Elba High  School,  in
recognition of her outstanding accomplishment; and
  WHEREAS,  Taylor  Doty,  Elba High School's 2012 Salutatorian is being
commended  for  her  outstanding  academic  performance  and   exemplary
achievements; and
  WHEREAS,  Taylor  Doty  may  now  stand with pride as she assesses her
achievements, experiences the satisfaction of her labors and the joy  of
her  accomplishments,  eager  to  face  the experiences of a challenging
world; and
  WHEREAS, This exceptional Elba  High  School  student  represents  the
potential  inherent  in  our  most  precious  resource,  our  youth; her
achievements have brought enduring honor to her family and community and
should be recognized and saluted; and
  WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to commend  students
of  outstanding  character who have shown initiative and a commitment to
the pursuit of higher goals for themselves and act  as  role  models  of
leadership to be emulated by their peers; now, therefore, be it
  RESOLVED,  That  this  Legislative  Body pause in its deliberations to
commend Taylor Doty, the 2012  Salutatorian  of  Elba  High  School,  in
recognition of her outstanding accomplishments, and to extend to her the
best  wishes of this Legislative Body for a future of purposeful success
and well-being; and be it further
  RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Taylor Doty.
