       AN  ACT  to  amend  the correction law, in relation to the collection of
         supervision fees from persons on community supervision
         THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND  ASSEM-
       BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:
    1    Section  1.  Subdivision  9  of  section  201 of the correction law is
    2  amended by adding a new paragraph (e) to read as follows:
    3    (E) NOTWITHSTANDING ANY OTHER LAW, RULE OR REGULATION TO THE CONTRARY,
    4  THE  SUPERVISION  FEE  AUTHORIZED  BY  THIS  SUBDIVISION  SHALL  NOT  BE
    5  COLLECTED  BY  THE  PAROLE OFFICER OF A PERSON ON COMMUNITY SUPERVISION.
    6  THE DEPARTMENT SHALL  DESIGNATE  A  CENTRAL  LOCATION  AND  ADDRESS  FOR
    7  PAYMENT OF SUCH SUPERVISION FEE BY PERSONS ON COMMUNITY SUPERVISION.
    8    S  2.  This act shall take effect immediately, provided, however, that
    9  the amendments to subdivision 9 of section 201  of  the  correction  law
   10  made  by  section  one  of  this act shall not affect the repeal of such
   11  subdivision and shall be deemed repealed therewith.
