  on Social Services

AN  ACT  to  amend  chapter 534 of the laws of 2000, amending the social
  services law relating to clarifying the definition of work  activities
  to include certain work-study and internship positions, in relation to
  making such provisions permanent

  THE  PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM-
BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:

  Section 1. Section 5 of chapter 534 of the laws of 2000, amending  the
social services law relating to clarifying the definition of work activ-
ities to include certain work-study and internship positions, as amended
by chapter 121 of the laws of 2008, is amended to read as follows:
  S  5.  This act shall take effect 60 days after it shall have become a
law [and shall expire June 30, 2010 when upon such date  the  provisions
of this act shall be deemed repealed].
  S 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
