AN  ACT  to repeal section 39 of the workers' compensation law, relating
  to second-injury disability fund

  THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND  ASSEM-
BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:

  Section 1. Section 39 of the workers' compensation law is REPEALED.
  S  2.  This  act  shall  take  effect  immediately, provided, however,
persons receiving compensation for disablement pursuant to section 39 of
the workers' compensation law prior to the date this  act  takes  effect
shall  continue  to  receive such compensation for the duration of their
disablement.
