AN ACT in relation to authorizing the Bay Park fire district to refund and pay a portion of the existing funds in its capital reserve account to the taxpayers of the district
THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Notwithstanding the provisions set forth in section 6-g of the general municipal law, the Bay Park fire district in the town of Hempstead, county of Nassau, is hereby authorized to transfer any unex pended funds contained in the district's existing capital reserve fund; to any fund legally established by such district including, but not limited to its general fund in order to provide property tax relief to the property owners of the district.
S 2. Such transfer shall be of an amount to be determined by resol ution of the board of fire commissioners of the district.
S 3. This authorization shall apply only to funds placed in the district's capital reserve account prior to the effective date of this act, and any interest thereon.
