AN ACT to amend the executive law, in relation to charitable collections

  THE  PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM-
BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:

  Section 1. Section 174 of the executive law is amended by adding a new
subdivision 5 to read as follows:
  5. ALL CHARITABLE SOLICITATIONS MADE BY THE USE OF UNATTENDED CONTAIN-
ERS SHALL HAVE POSTED ON THE CONTAINER THE PERCENTAGE OF FUNDS  ACTUALLY
USED FOR THE STATED CHARITABLE PURPOSES.
  S  2.  Section  174-b  of the executive law is amended by adding a new
subdivision 6 to read as follows:
  6. ALL CHARITABLE SOLICITATIONS MADE BY THE USE OF UNATTENDED CONTAIN-
ERS SHALL HAVE POSTED ON THE CONTAINER THE PERCENTAGE OF FUNDS  ACTUALLY
USED FOR THE STATED CHARITABLE PURPOSES.
  S  3.  This  act  shall take effect on the sixtieth day after it shall
have become a law.
