AN ACT to amend the education law, in relation to  allocation  of  state
  aid for school library systems affected by BOCES mergers

  THE  PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM-
BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:

  Section 1. Paragraph f of subdivision 1 of section 284 of  the  educa-
tion  law,  as amended by chapter 654 of the laws of 2007, is amended to
read as follows:
  f. In addition to any other sum  provided  in  this  subdivision,  any
school  library  system  formed  through  an act of merger [since] ON OR
AFTER January first, nineteen hundred eighty-four shall receive  [fifty]
NINETY  thousand  dollars  annually  for  each  approved act of merger[,
provided, however, that any school library system formed through an  act
of  merger  on  or  after  April first, two thousand eight shall receive
ninety thousand dollars annually for each approved act of merger].
  S 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
