KELLNER -- read once and referred to the Commit- tee on Mental Health AN ACT to amend the mental hygiene law, in relation to certain reporting by mental health practitioners THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM- BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Subdivision (a) of section 9.46 of the mental hygiene law, as added by chapter 1 of the laws of 2013, is amended to read as follows: (a) For purposes of this section, the term "mental health profes- sional" shall include a physician, psychologist, registered nurse [or], licensed clinical social worker OR ANY MENTAL HEALTH PRACTITIONER LICENSED UNDER ARTICLE ONE HUNDRED SIXTY-THREE OF THE EDUCATION LAW. S 2. This act shall take effect on the same date and in the same manner as chapter 1 of the laws of 2013 takes effect.
