AN ACT to amend the penal law, in relation to the definition of "danger-
  ous contraband"

  THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND  ASSEM-
BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:

  Section 1. Subdivision 4 of section 205.00 of the penal law is amended
to read as follows:
  4.  "Dangerous  contraband"  means contraband, INCLUDING ANY AMOUNT OF
MARIJUANA, NARCOTIC OR CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE, which is  capable  of  such
use  as  may  endanger the safety or security of a detention facility or
any person therein.
  S 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
