S T A T E O F N E W Y O R K ________________________________________________________________________ 6897 2011-2012 Regular Sessions I N A S S E M B L Y April 5, 2011 ___________ Introduced by M. of A. FINCH, MAGEE -- read once and referred to the Committee on Education AN ACT changing the name of Georgetown-South Otselic to the Otselic Valley Central School District at Georgetown-South Otselic THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM- BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Notwithstanding any other provision of law, rule or regu- lation to the contrary, the commissioner of education is hereby author- ized, empowered and directed to change the official name of Georgetown- South Otselic to the Otselic Valley Central School District at Georgetown-South Otselic. The education department shall issue a certificate certifying the name of the district and the name of the towns and counties in which the territory of the district is located. S 2. This act shall take effect on the thirtieth day after it shall have become a law. EXPLANATION--Matter in ITALICS (underscored) is new; matter in brackets [ ] is old law to be omitted. LBD09931-01-1
