AN ACT to amend the education law, in relation to granting SUNY communi-
  ty  college  campus  peace  officers access to criminal history record
  information pursuant to 9 NYCRR 6051.1

  THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND  ASSEM-
BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:

  Section  1.  Section  6434 of the education law is amended by adding a
new subdivision 1-a to read as follows:
  1-A. FOR THE PURPOSE OF  FACILITATING  INVESTIGATIONS  SUNY  COMMUNITY
COLLEGE  CAMPUS  PEACE OFFICERS, WHO ARE EITHER FORMER OR CURRENT POLICE
OFFICERS, SHALL BE DEEMED AUTHORIZED  USERS,  ABLE  TO  ACCESS  CRIMINAL
HISTORY  RECORD  INFORMATION,  PURSUANT TO 9 NYCRR 6051.1 SUBJECT TO THE
FOLLOWING DUTIES:
  A. EACH COMMUNITY COLLEGE SHALL BE REQUIRED TO DOCUMENT EACH OFFICER'S
ACTIVITY WITH REGARD TO ACCESSING SUCH  INFORMATION  AND  THE  OFFICER'S
REASONABLE CAUSE FOR NEEDING SUCH ACCESS.
  B. THE COMMUNITY COLLEGE SHALL ESTABLISH AN INTERNAL REVIEW PROCESS TO
ENSURE EVERY INQUIRY IS JUSTIFIED AND IS SUPPORTED BY SUFFICIENT REASON-
ABLE CAUSE.
  S 2. This act shall take effect immediately.

AN  ACT  to  amend  the  education law, in relation to granting Onondaga
  community college campus peace officers  access  to  criminal  history
  record information pursuant to 9 NYCRR 6051.1

  THE  PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM-
BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:

  Section 1. Section 6434 of the education law is amended  by  adding  a
