SKOUFIS -- read once and referred to the Commit- tee on Environmental Conservation AN ACT to amend the environmental conservation law, in relation to the powers of the commissioner of the department of environmental conser- vation THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM- BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Subdivision 4 of section 3-0301 of the environmental conservation law, as added by chapter 719 of the laws of 1981, is amended to read as follows: 4. The commissioner shall: (A) cooperate with the commissioner of the state department of health, district attorneys and the department of law in providing assistance in the investigation and prosecution of violations of article twenty-seven of this chapter; AND (B) CONSIDER COMPLIANCE WITH FEDERAL AND STATE LAWS, REGULATIONS OR PERMITS GOVERNING THE ENVIRONMENT WHEN RESOLVING A DISPUTE BETWEEN TWO OR MORE MUNICIPALITIES.
