MAGNARELLI -- read once and referred to the Committee on Education AN ACT to amend chapter 58 of the laws of 2006 enacting the "city of Syracuse and the board of education of the city school district of the city of Syracuse cooperative school reconstruction act", in relation to members of the JSC Board and projects at certain schools in the city school district THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM- BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Subdivision (f) of section 4 of part A-4 of chapter 58 of the laws of 2006 enacting the "city of Syracuse and the board of educa- tion of the city school district of the city of Syracuse cooperative school reconstruction act", as amended by a chapter of the laws of 2013, amending chapter 58 of the laws of 2006 enacting the "city of Syracuse and the board of education of the city school district of the city of Syracuse cooperative school reconstruction act", relating to the powers and duties of the joint schools construction board of the city of Syra- cuse and the city school district, as proposed in legislative bills numbers A. 4772-C and S. 3435-C, is amended to read as follows: (f) "JSC board" shall mean the joint schools construction board of the city and the city school district established to administer, manage, design, renovate and effect the financing of existing public schools within the Syracuse city school district. Such board shall consist of the mayor of the city of Syracuse and [two] THREE additional members designated by the mayor who shall serve at the pleasure of the mayor for a term not exceeding one year, the superintendent of the Syracuse city school district and two additional members designated by the superinten- dent who shall serve at the pleasure of the superintendent for a term not exceeding one year[, and a seventh member, not employed by the city or the school district, jointly designated by the mayor and the super- intendent who shall serve at the pleasure of the mayor and the super- EXPLANATION--Matter in ITALICS (underscored) is new; matter in brackets [ ] is old law to be omitted.
