ZEBROWSKI, GOTTFRIED, MILLMAN, GUNTHER -- read once and referred to the Committee on Higher Education AN ACT to amend the education law, in relation to authorizing nurse practitioners and physicians to administer tests to determine the presence of the hepatitis C virus THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM- BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Subdivision 4 of section 6909 of the education law is amended by adding a new paragraph (e) to read as follows: (E) ADMINISTERING TESTS TO DETERMINE THE PRESENCE OF THE HEPATITIS C VIRUS. S 2. Subdivision 6 of section 6527 of the education law is amended by adding a new paragraph (e) to read as follows: (E) ADMINISTERING TESTS TO DETERMINE THE PRESENCE OF THE HEPATITIS C VIRUS. S 3. This act shall take effect on the ninetieth day after it shall have become a law. EXPLANATION--Matter in ITALICS (underscored) is new; matter in brackets [ ] is old law to be omitted. LBD14396-02-4
