Introduced by M. of A. P. LOPEZ -- read once and referred to the Commit tee on Education AN ACT in relation to legalizing, validating, ratifying and confirming certain acts and proceedings of the Hunter-Tannersville Central School District with respect to certain transportation contracts THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. All the acts done and proceedings heretofore had and taken or caused to be had and taken by the Hunter-Tannersville Central School District and by all officers, employees or agents of such school district relating to or in connection with certain transportation contracts of the 2011-2012 school year with various contractors, and all acts incidental thereto are hereby legalized, validated, ratified and confirmed, notwithstanding any failure to comply with the contract award, approval, categorizing and filing provisions of the education law, general municipal law or any other law or any other statutory authority, rule or regulation, other than the filing provisions contained in paragraph a of subdivision 5 of section 3604 of the educa tion law, in relation to any omission, error, defect, irregularity or illegality in such acts done and proceedings had and taken.
S 2. The education department is hereby directed to consider the aforementioned contracts for transportation aid as valid and proper obligations of the Hunter-Tannersville Central School District.
