AN ACT to amend chapter 491 of the laws of 1995  amending  the  workers'
  compensation law relating to permitting the establishment of an alter-
  native  dispute  resolution  system  to  resolve workers' compensation
  claims through collective bargaining agreements, in relation to making
  such provisions permanent

  THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND  ASSEM-
BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:

  Section  1.  Section 4 of chapter 491 of the laws of 1995 amending the
workers' compensation law relating to permitting the establishment of an
alternative dispute resolution system to resolve  workers'  compensation
claims  through  collective bargaining agreements, as amended by chapter
649 of the laws of 2005, is amended to read as follows:
  S 4. This act shall take effect immediately[, provided, however,  that
the  provisions of subdivision 2-c of section 25 of the workers' compen-
sation law, as added by section one of this act,  shall  expire  and  be
deemed repealed on and after December 31, 2010].
  S 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
