LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION mourning the death of Paul Santore, distinguished
citizen and devoted member of his community

WHEREAS,  It  is  the  custom of this Legislative Body to pay tribute to
citizens of the State of New York whose  lifework  and  civic  endeavors
served to enhance the quality of life in their communities and the great
State of New York; and
  WHEREAS, Paul Santore died on Thursday, September 13, 2012, at the age
of 68; and
  WHEREAS, Paul Santore was born in Oswego, New York, to Angeline Zappa-
la Santore and the late Carmen Santore; and
  WHEREAS,  From  1961  to  1964,  Paul  Santore served his country as a
member of the United States Army; and
  WHEREAS, He was employed by the General Electric Company in  Syracuse,
New York, and by ARCOM Labs, also in Syracuse; and
  WHEREAS,  A  dedicated member of his community, Paul Santore served as
an Oswego County legislator for eight years, also holding  positions  as
Oswego County Committee Treasurer and Committee Chair; and
  WHEREAS,  Furthermore, Paul Santore was President of the Oswego County
Salvation Army Board, and a member of the Literacy Volunteers, the Oswe-
go County Veterans Museum, the Oswego Library, and many other  community
organizations; and
  WHEREAS,  In addition to his mother, sisters and brother, Paul Santore
is survived by his wife, Judith, his son, Paul  Santore,  II,  daughter,
Lisa,  and  stepdaughters, Virginia and Carolee, as well as eight grand-
children; and
  WHEREAS, Paul Santore distinguished himself by his sincere  dedication
and substantial contributions to the welfare of his community; and
  WHEREAS,  Armed  with  a  humanistic spirit and imbued with a sense of
compassion, Paul Santore leaves behind a legacy which will  long  endure
the  passage  of  time  and will remain as a comforting memory to all he
served and befriended; now, therefore, be it
  RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause  in  its  deliberations  to
mourn  the  death  of  Paul  Santore,  distinguished citizen and devoted
member of his community; and be it further
  RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to the family of Paul Santore.
