LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION commending Thomas Jacobi upon the occasion of his
designation  as the 2013 HealthAlliance Honoree by the Kingston Hospital
Foundation on April 20, 2013

WHEREAS, Individuals who give of their time and energies and  serve  the
best interests of their communities are an asset beyond remuneration and
cannot be sufficiently extolled; and
  WHEREAS, Thomas Jacobi has given not only of his time and energies but
also of his competence, intelligence and leadership and consequently has
been designated for special honor; and
  WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is justly proud to commend Thomas Jaco-
bi upon the occasion of his designation as the 2013 HealthAlliance Hono-
ree  by  the  Kingston Hospital Foundation, to be celebrated at its 24th
Annual Gala, the 2013 Tulip Ball, on Saturday, April 20,  2013,  at  the
Lazy Swan Golf & Country Club Village, Saugerties, New York; and
  WHEREAS, Thomas Jacobi has been called upon to contribute his time and
talents to countless civic and charitable endeavors and has always given
of himself unstintingly; and
  WHEREAS,  Thomas Jacobi has been a volunteer in the health care sector
since 2001; his exemplary contributions include serving on the boards as
Chairman of Kingston Community Services/Kingston  Senior  Living  Corpo-
ration, now Woodland Pond, where he is still a member of the board; and
  WHEREAS,  A  31-year member of the Uptown Business Association, Thomas
Jacobi has also been on the board of Kingston  Regional  Health,  and  a
member  and chair of The Kingston Hospital board of trustees; currently,
he serves on the HealthAlliance board of directors; and
  WHEREAS, Throughout the entire period  of  his  community  service,  a
period  of constructive involvement, Thomas Jacobi has stood constant in
dignity, good grace and humor; and
  WHEREAS, Rare indeed is the impressive dedication shown by an individ-
ual for the benefit of others which Thomas Jacobi has displayed through-
out his life; now, therefore, be it
  RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause  in  its  deliberations  to
commend  Thomas  Jacobi upon the occasion of his designation as the 2013
HealthAlliance Honoree by the Kingston Hospital Foundation on April  20,
2013; and be it further
  RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Thomas Jacobi.
