LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION honoring Carol Criscione upon the occasion of her
designation  for  special  recognition  by Catholic Charities Caregivers
Support Services on April 25, 2013

WHEREAS, Individuals who give of their time and energies and  serve  the
best interests of their communities are an asset beyond remuneration and
cannot be sufficiently extolled; and
  WHEREAS,  Carol  Criscione has given not only of her time and energies
but also of her competence, intelligence and leadership and consequently
has been designated for special recognition; and
  WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is justly proud to  honor  Carol  Cris-
cione  upon  the  occasion of her designation for special recognition by
Catholic Charities Caregivers Support Services to be celebrated  at  its
annual event at 11 North Pearl, Albany, New York, on Thursday, April 25,
2013; and
  WHEREAS,  Catholic  Charities Caregivers Support Services (CCCSS) is a
not-for-profit agency of Catholic Charities of  the  Diocese  of  Albany
that  recognizes  human  need  at  all stages of life, responding to all
persons regardless of race, creed, or lifestyle, with  special  emphasis
on low-income and otherwise vulnerable individuals; and
  WHEREAS,  Longtime  member  of  the Board of Directors of CCCSS, Carol
Criscione has been called upon to contribute her  time  and  talents  to
countless civic and charitable endeavors and has always given of herself
unstintingly; and
  WHEREAS,  Throughout her life, Carol Criscione has shown extraordinary
dedication to those in need through her volunteer work  as  well  as  in
positions and associations in the non-profit sector; and
  WHEREAS,  She was affiliated with Parsons Child and Family Center, St.
Anne Institute, and the American Red Cross in the areas  of  Development
and Communications; and
  WHEREAS,  As  a CCCSS Board member, Carol Criscione served on the Fund
Raising Committee where her knowledge and past experiences were  invalu-
able  in the ongoing effort to raise funds to support the mission of the
agency; and
  WHEREAS, This remarkable woman, who was a devoted and loyal  caregiver
to her loving husband, Nicholas, has had a great impact on CCCSS's abil-
ities  to provide support for its constituents in need of its many valu-
able services; and
  WHEREAS, Rare indeed is the impressive dedication shown by an individ-
ual for the benefit  of  others  which  Carol  Criscione  has  displayed
throughout her life; and
  WHEREAS,  It  is the sense of this Legislative Body that when individ-
uals of such noble aims and accomplishments are brought  to  our  atten-
tion,  they  should  be celebrated and recognized by all the citizens of
this great Empire State; now, therefore, be it
  RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause  in  its  deliberations  to
honor  Carol  Criscione upon the occasion of her designation for special
recognition by Catholic Charities Caregivers Support Services; and be it
further
  RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Carol Criscione.
