Honoring Debbie Gatoff as recipient of the Gemilut Chasadim Award

LEGISLATIVE  RESOLUTION  honoring Debbie Gatoff upon the occasion of her
designation as recipient of the Gemilut Chasadim Award  by  Congregation
Beth Israel

WHEREAS,  The  State  of New York takes great pride in acknowledging its
esteemed residents who have distinguished themselves in their community;
  WHEREAS, Debbie Gatoff will be recognized with a  prestigious  Gemilut
Chasadim  Award  during  a  dinner at Congregation Beth Israel on May 5,
2013; and
  WHEREAS, Debbie is a third  generation  member  of  Congregation  Beth
Israel;  growing  up, she was active in the National Conference of Syna-
gogue Youth; and
  WHEREAS, She continues to be extremely active in the Congregation as a
former Hebrew School teacher, member, past President and long-term Trea-
surer of the Sisterhood, President, Vice President and Financial  Secre-
tary  of  the  Congregation, and member of the Catering Committee, Syna-
gogue Board of Trustees, and several rabbinical search committees; and
  WHEREAS, Debbie is currently serving as Vice President of the Shul and
Treasurer of the Sisterhood; and
  WHEREAS, She is also an active fundraiser for the Congregation; and
  WHEREAS, Debbie is enjoying a long and successful career as an  Office
Manager for Capital Management Partners; and
  WHEREAS,  She  has  also  contributed her time to the Schenectady City
School District Board of Education and Proctors Theater; and
  WHEREAS, Debbie is the loving mother of Jason and Sarah, who were also
raised in the synagogue; she has also been blessed with  two  grandchil-
dren, Jack and Bridget; and
  WHEREAS,  She  has  exhibited  the true spirit of the Gemilut Chasadim
Award through her extraordinary dedication to Congregation Beth  Israel;
now, therefore, be it
  RESOLVED,  That  this  Legislative  Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Debbie Gatoff upon the occasion of her designation as recipient of
the Gemilut Chasadim Award  by  Congregation  Beth  Israel;  and  be  it
  RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Debbie Gatoff.
