LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION congratulating Donna Montemarano Brennan upon the
occasion of her induction into the Fontbonne Hall Academy Hall of Fame

WHEREAS,  Individuals  who give of their time and energies and serve the
best interests of their communities are an asset beyond remuneration and
cannot be sufficiently extolled; and
  WHEREAS, It is the sense  of  this  Legislative  Body  to  acknowledge
outstanding individuals whose professional lives, personal endeavors and
community  service  are  an example and inspiration to their colleagues,
friends, and family; and
  WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its  long-
standing  traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to congratu-
late Donna Montemarano Brennan upon the occasion of her  induction  into
the  Fontbonne  Hall Academy Hall of Fame; this auspicious occasion will
be celebrated at the Academy's Fleur de Lys Dinner Dance, to be held  on
Wednesday, May 1, 2013; and
  WHEREAS,  Fontbonne  Hall  Academy  is  an  all-girls,  private, Roman
Catholic high school in Brooklyn, New York; it was established  in  1937
by  the  Sisters of St. Joseph, and is located within the Roman Catholic
Diocese of Brooklyn; and
  WHEREAS, A 1984 graduate of Fontbonne Hall Academy, Donna  Montemarano
Brennan  is a true Brooklyn native; she attended Regina Pacis School and
after graduation from Fontbonne Hall Academy, she  attended  St.  John's
University; and
  WHEREAS,  Donna  Montemarano  Brennan began her career working on Wall
Street; for the past eight years,  she  has  been  an  employee  of  the
Department of Education; and
  WHEREAS,  Donna  Montemarano Brennan is the mother of a wonderful son,
Dominick, and of amazing twin daughters,  Jaclyn  and  Olivia,  who  are
currently seniors at Fontbonne Hall Academy; and
  WHEREAS,  Donna  Montemarano  Brennan has always remained connected to
Fontbonne Hall Academy; she is the first one to volunteer to contact her
classmates and encourage them  to  come  to  class  reunions;  she  also
supported  Fontbonne  events  throughout the years, including the annual
Scholarship Dinner/Fashion Show and Fleur de Lys Dinner Dance; and
  WHEREAS, In addition, Donna Montemarano Brennan  has  volunteered  her
time  to  work  on  many committees at Fontbonne Hall Academy, including
acting as a chaperone at sports night practices; and
  WHEREAS, Throughout the entire period of her professional and communi-
ty service, a period  of  constructive  involvement,  Donna  Montemarano
Brennan  has  stood  constant  in dignity, good grace and humor, and has
earned the respect and admiration of her colleagues, family and friends;
and
  WHEREAS, Rare indeed is the impressive dedication shown by an individ-
ual for the benefit  of  others  which  Donna  Montemarano  Brennan  has
displayed throughout her life; now, therefore, be it
  RESOLVED,  That  this  Legislative  Body pause in its deliberations to
congratulate  Donna  Montemarano  Brennan  upon  the  occasion  of   her
induction  into  the  Fontbonne  Hall  Academy  Hall  of Fame; and be it
further
  RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Donna Montemarano Brennan.
