LEGISLATIVE  RESOLUTION  congratulating  Milissa and Richard Resner upon
the occasion of their induction into the Fontbonne Hall Academy Hall  of
Fame

WHEREAS,  Individuals  who give of their time and energies and serve the
best interests of their communities are an asset beyond remuneration and
cannot be sufficiently extolled; and
  WHEREAS, It is the sense  of  this  Legislative  Body  to  acknowledge
outstanding individuals whose professional lives, personal endeavors and
community  service  are  an example and inspiration to their colleagues,
friends, and family; and
  WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its  long-
standing  traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to congratu-
late Milissa and Richard Resner upon the  occasion  of  their  induction
into  the  Fontbonne Hall Academy Hall of Fame; this auspicious occasion
will be celebrated at the Academy's Fleur de Lys  Dinner  Dance,  to  be
held on Wednesday, May 1, 2013; and
  WHEREAS,  Fontbonne  Hall  Academy  is  an  all-girls,  private, Roman
Catholic high school in Brooklyn, New York; it was established  in  1937
by  the  Sisters of St. Joseph, and is located within the Roman Catholic
Diocese of Brooklyn; and
  WHEREAS, Richard Resner was born in Panama City,  Florida,  and  relo-
cated to the Canarsie section of Brooklyn, New York; he attended William
E.   Grady Vocational Technical High School where he majored in environ-
mental climate control; and
  WHEREAS, The head of Laurence Industries, Richard Resner is an  active
supporter  of  Fontbonne  Hall  Academy;  he became a consultant for the
Academy, helping to maintain the overall environmental wellness  of  the
Academy's facilities; and
  WHEREAS,  Milissa  Resner  was  born  and  raised  in Huntington, Long
Island; she attended Walt Whitman High School and SUNY Farmingdale;  she
has been employed as an assistant manager at CVS and for Formac Welding;
and
  WHEREAS,  A  member  of  the  Fontbonne  Hall Academy Executive Board,
Milissa Resner has been  active  at  the  Academy,  including  providing
assistance for the Scholarship Dinner/Fashion Show; and
  WHEREAS, Married for over 21 years, Milissa and Richard Resner are the
proud  parents  of  a  daughter,  Rebecca, who enrolled as a freshman at
Fontbonne Hall Academy in 2007, and  currently  attends  Roger  Williams
College in Rhode Island; and
  WHEREAS, Throughout the entire period of their professional and commu-
nity  service, a period of constructive involvement, Milissa and Richard
Resner have stood constant in dignity, good grace and  humor,  and  have
earned  the  respect  and  admiration  of  their  colleagues, family and
friends; and
  WHEREAS, Rare indeed is the impressive dedication shown by individuals
for the  benefit  of  others  which  Milissa  and  Richard  Resner  have
displayed throughout their lives; now, therefore, be it
  RESOLVED,  That  this  Legislative  Body pause in its deliberations to
congratulate Milissa and Richard  Resner  upon  the  occasion  of  their
induction  into  the  Fontbonne  Hall  Academy  Hall  of Fame; and be it
further
  RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Milissa and Richard Resner.
