LEGISLATIVE  RESOLUTION honoring Michelle McClymont upon the occasion of
her designation for special recognition by Young Movement, Inc.

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to recognize that  the
quality  and  character of life in the communities across New York State
are reflective of the concerned and dedicated efforts of those organiza-
tions and individuals who would devote themselves to the welfare of  the
community and its citizenry; and
  WHEREAS,  Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body  is  justly  proud  to  honor
Michelle  McClymont  upon  the  occasion  of her designation for special
recognition by Young Movement, Inc. on Saturday, March 30, 2013; and
  WHEREAS, Young Movement is  a  501c(3)  member-supported  action  tank
providing  research, advocacy, and partnerships on socio-economic issues
such as financial literacy and employment alternatives for young  adults
and  professionals  in  New  York; incorporated in October of 2011, this
organization not only represents its members through research, advocacy,
and forming partnerships, but ensures the  positive  results  are  long-
standing while the unfavorable ones are non-recurrent for the next young
generation; and
  WHEREAS,  Michelle  McClymont has over 15 years experience in Business
Development and Client Relations both in the corporate  and  non  profit
sectors;  she  has  a  true  dedication  for assisting entrepreneurs and
managing small business development; in her prior role as senior account
manager at New York City Business Solutions, she diligently worked  with
small businesses to ensure growth; and
  WHEREAS,  Michelle  McClymont placed a key focus on assisting business
owners with recruitment and training of employees; in as little  as  two
years,  she  successfully helped business owners hire over 1,500 employ-
ees; and
  WHEREAS, Michelle McClymont joined Flatbush Nostrand Junction Business
Improvement in 2012 as the executive director; today,  in  her  role  as
executive  director,  her  dedication and drive for economic development
and small businesses enable her to keep her focus and vision on managing
capital improvement projects; and
  WHEREAS, Michelle McClymont's continuous mission  is  to  attract  and
retain  sustainable  and diverse businesses to her district in Brooklyn;
her dedication and personal mission to helping entrepreneurs is what led
her to start her own organization, Entrepreneur  Exchange  of  Brooklyn;
she  is  looked  upon  as a true leader in her organization and is often
called "the connector" among small business owners  and  up  and  coming
entrepreneurs; and
  WHEREAS,  Michelle McClymont continually strives to educate and expose
business owners to available resources that are essential  to  promoting
business  growth;  she holds a Bachelor's Degree in Hospitality Business
Management and is currently a participant of the CORO Neighborhood Lead-
ership which is an award winning leadership training program from  which
she  graduates  in  June;  her  vision  is  to implement positive change
through building great neighborhoods while creating jobs and growing the
economy; and
  WHEREAS, A true asset to society, Michelle  McClymont's  distinguished
record merits the recognition and respectful tribute of this Legislative
Body; now, therefore, be it
  RESOLVED,  That  this  Legislative  Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Michelle McClymont  upon  the  occasion  of  her  designation  for
special recognition by Young Movement, Inc.; and be it further

  RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Michelle McClymont.
