LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION commending the Wantagh Kiwanis upon the occasion
of its designation as recipient of the Organization of the Year Award by
the Wantagh Chamber of Commerce on January 16, 2013

WHEREAS, It is the custom of this Legislative Body to honor those illus-
trious individuals and institutions of the State of New York whose
purposeful endeavors serve to enhance the quality of life in their
communities; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to commend
the Wantagh Kiwanis upon the occasion of its designation as recipient of
the Organization of the Year Award by the Wantagh Chamber of Commerce;
and
WHEREAS, The Wantagh Kiwanis will be recognized at the Wantagh Chamber
of Commerce's Good Guy Award Dinner, to be held on Wednesday, January
16, 2013, at Oheka Castle in Huntington, New York; and
WHEREAS, It is with great admiration that this Legislative Body
applauds the efforts of all the individuals involved in this vital
organization, and to recognize their unwavering devotion to improving
the quality of life for others; and
WHEREAS, Throughout its distinguished history, Wantagh Kiwanis has
diligently served the residents of Wantagh, New York, and its surround-
ing communities; it has made a difference in every life it touches and
has had a positive impact throughout the entire region; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that when organiza-
tions of such noble aims and accomplishments are brought to our atten-
tion, they should be celebrated and recognized by all the citizens of
the great State of New York; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
commend the Wantagh Kiwanis upon the occasion of its designation as
recipient of the Organization of the Year Award by the Wantagh Chamber
of Commerce; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to the Wantagh Kiwanis.
