Congratulating Mr. and Mrs. Joseph De Vito upon the occasion of celebrating their 50th Wedding Anniversary

LEGISLATIVE  RESOLUTION  congratulating  Joseph and Phyllis De Vito upon
the occasion of celebrating their 50th Wedding Anniversary

WHEREAS, The State of  New  York  takes  great  pride  in  acknowledging
significant  milestones and happy occasions in the lives of its esteemed
residents; and
  WHEREAS, Joseph and Phyllis De  Vito  celebrated  their  50th  Wedding
Anniversary on a cruise with their entire family in March  of 2013; and
  WHEREAS, Joseph De Vito and Phyllis Faraone were united in marriage at
St. Anthony's Roman Catholic Church in Schenectady on May 12, 1963; and
  WHEREAS,  They  spend  their winter months in Port Lucie, Florida, and
enjoy spending time together on their lanai  and  watching  the  various
birds and wildlife in their backyard; and
  WHEREAS, During the summer, they enjoy their home in Clifton Park; and
  WHEREAS,  They  enjoy traveling together, especially on cruises and to
casinos; and
  WHEREAS, Joe and Phyllis are the  loving  parents  of  Lisa  Lombardo,
Michelle Collins, and Christopher De Vito; and
  WHEREAS,  They  have also been blessed with five grandchildren, Domin-
ick, Mia, Gianna, Kyra, and Nicholas; and
  WHEREAS, Joe and Phyllis are a tower of strength, support, understand-
ing and love for their family and friends; and
  WHEREAS, They have touched the  lives  of  their  family  and  friends
through  the  shining  example  of  their  enduring marriage, which is a
testament to the devotion and admiration they have for one another; and
  WHEREAS, The State of New York is pleased to  join  their  family  and
many  friends  in  wishing them many more happy, healthy years together;
now, therefore, be it
  RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause  in  its  deliberations  to
congratulate  Joe  and  Phyllis De Vito upon the occasion of celebrating
their 50th Wedding Anniversary; and be it further
  RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Joseph and Phyllis De Vito.
