LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION honoring The Reverend and Mrs. LaMont D. Robinson
upon the occasion of their designation for special recognition as recip-
ients  of  the Wakpominee District Good Scout Award from the Twin Rivers
Council of the Boy Scouts of America

WHEREAS, It is the custom of this Legislative Body to recognize that the
quality and character of life in the communities across New  York  State
are  reflective of the concerned and dedicated efforts of those individ-
uals who would devote themselves to the welfare of the community and its
citizenry; and
  WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is justly proud to honor  The  Reverend
and  Mrs.  LaMont D. Robinson upon the occasion of their designation for
special recognition as recipients of the Wakpominee District Good  Scout
Award  from  the  Twin  Rivers  Council  of the Boy Scouts of America on
Thursday, May 2, 2013, at the Hiland Park Country Club; and
  WHEREAS, Serving as Pastor of Harrisena Community  Church  in  Queens-
bury,  New  York,  Reverend  LaMont "Monty" Robinson was ordained by the
American Baptist Church; he has led the Harrisena Community Church since
1969; and
  WHEREAS, A board member of the  Warren-Washington  County  Association
for Mental Health, Pastor Robinson is active in Pastoral Counseling, Boy
Scouting, Planned Parenthood and the Homeless Youth Coalition; and
  WHEREAS,  Mrs. Dodi Robinson serves as the Choir Director at Harrisena
Community Church; both she and her  husband  lead  the  Harrisena  Youth
Fellowship, a nondenominational group for young people; and
  WHEREAS, The Reverend and Mrs. LaMont Robinson are being meritoriously
acknowledged for their continuous leadership and support to the communi-
ty; and
  WHEREAS,  It  is  the  sense  of  this Legislative Body that those who
enhance the well-being and vitality of their community and have shown  a
long  and  sustained  commitment to excellence certainly have earned the
recognition and applause of all the citizens of this great Empire State;
now, therefore, be it
  RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause  in  its  deliberations  to
honor  The  Reverend  and  Mrs.  LaMont D. Robinson upon the occasion of
their designation for special recognition as recipients of the  Wakpomi-
nee  District  Good  Scout Award from the Twin Rivers Council of the Boy
Scouts of America; and be it further
  RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to The Reverend and Mrs. LaMont D. Robinson.
