LEGISLATIVE  RESOLUTION  commending Pine Park Elementary School upon the
occasion of celebrating its 50th Anniversary on May 3, 2013

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to recognize  and  pay
tribute to those institutions of true purpose and high achievement whose
exemplary  programs  and accomplishments clearly demonstrate the pursuit
of excellence in education and service to the community; and
  WHEREAS, The steadfast and unyielding commitment of parents, educators
and administrators to provide the highest quality education for students
is the hallmark and tradition of Pine Park Elementary School; and
  WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is justly proud to  commend  Pine  Park
Elementary School upon the occasion of celebrating its 50th Anniversary;
to  mark  this  significant  milestone, a Commemorative Ceremony will be
held on Friday, May 3, 2013; and
  WHEREAS, Pine Park Elementary School, a Kindergarten through 6th grade
school in the Brentwood Union Free School District  in  Suffolk  County,
first opened its doors to students on September 4th, 1963; it now serves
600  primary students, and has a dedicated staff of more than 30 faculty
members; and
  WHEREAS, Over the course of its luminous 50 year  history,  Pine  Park
Elementary  School  has  become  a  leading  academic institution in its
community, zealously fulfilling its  mission:  to  provide  a  nurturing
child  centered  educational  environment implemented and supported by a
unique staff of individuals with a supportive, creative and  compassion-
ate attitude; and
  WHEREAS, The outstanding administration at Pine Park Elementary School
has fostered a learning environment which promotes the maximum growth of
every  student, enabling each student to develop the vital skills neces-
sary to succeed throughout their later school years; and
  WHEREAS, Pine Park Elementary School is proudly aware of  its  distin-
guished  past,  eager  to  fulfill  its  present  commitment to parents,
students and the community, and planning with vision and purpose for the
ebb and swell of growth and change it will encounter  in  the  years  to
come; now, therefore, be it
  RESOLVED,  That  this  Legislative  Body pause in its deliberations to
commend Pine Park Elementary School upon the occasion of celebrating its
50th Anniversary; and be it further
  RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Ann Weishahn, Principal, Pine Park Elementary School.
