LEGISLATIVE  RESOLUTION  honoring  Trackside Dining upon the occasion of
its designation by the Sidney Chamber of Commerce as  the  recipient  of
its 2013 Business of the Years Award

WHEREAS,  It  is  the  sense  of  this Legislative Body to recognize and
commend the leaders  of  commerce  and  industry  whose  accomplishments
contribute  to  the economic health and prosperity of the communities of
the State of New York and individuals  whose  purposeful  endeavors,  as
involved  members of the community, enhance the quality of life therein;
and
  WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern and fully in accord with its  long-
standing  traditions,  this  Legislative Body is justly proud to commend
Trackside Dining upon the occasion of  its  designation  by  the  Sidney
Chamber  of  Commerce as the recipient of its 2013 Business of the Years
Award; and
  WHEREAS, For nearly  20  years,  Trackside  Dining,  formerly  Nancy's
Place,  has served both the appetites and the needs of the Sidney commu-
nity; known locally as the home of "fresh  people  and  friendly  food,"
Trackside  is a gathering place for friends, a popular meeting place for
businesses, a convenient stopping spot for travelers passing by  on  the
interstate,  and  the  place  to  go  for  all the latest news of what's
happening around the area; and
  WHEREAS, Through changes in ownership, expansions and  reconstruction,
Nancy Hathaway and her efficient staff have always kept Trackside Dining
running smoothly; the atmosphere of the diner is warm and welcoming; and
  WHEREAS,  When  it  comes to assisting the community, Trackside Dining
has a reputation for generosity in assisting local organizations such as
school groups, the local boys' and girls'  clubs,  and  the  chamber  of
commerce, as well as community residents in need; and
  WHEREAS,  Trackside  Dining  has frequently been offered as a location
for community activities, including Santa's Headquarters for Jolly Holly
Days and the children's magic  show  during  the  annual  arts  &  music
festival; and
  WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is proud to recognize Trackside Dining,
for  their  commitment  and  contributions  to Sidney and its quality of
life; and
  WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that when businesses
such as Trackside Dining are brought to our attention it is  appropriate
to  publicly  proclaim  and commend them and their leadership and staff,
for the edification and emulation of others; now, therefore, be it
  RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause  in  its  deliberations  to
honor  Trackside  Dining  upon  the  occasion  of its designation by the
Sidney Chamber of Commerce as the recipient of its 2013 Business of  the
Years Award; and be it further
  RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Nancy Hathaway, Trackside Dining.
