LEGISLATIVE  RESOLUTION  honoring Callie Bullis upon the occasion of her
recognition by the Orange County Interscholastic Athletic Association as
a 2013 OCIAA Scholar Athlete

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to act, in accord with
its long-standing traditions, to honor the  achievements  of  its  young
citizens  and  leaders  of tomorrow, whose character and accomplishments
exemplify the ideals and  values  cherished  by  this  great  State  and
nation; and
  WHEREAS,  This Legislative Body is justly proud to honor Callie Bullis
upon the occasion of her recognition by the Orange County  Interscholas-
tic Athletic Association as a 2013 OCIAA Scholar Athlete; and
  WHEREAS,  Academically  and  athletically,  Callie  Bullis has distin-
guished herself as a young woman of  superlative  ability,  talent,  and
maturity, establishing standards of excellence and achievement, purpose-
fulness  of  life, and responsibility rarely achieved in youthful years;
and
  WHEREAS, Callie Bullis, a student  at  Roscoe  Middle/High  School  in
Roscoe,  New York, ranked 2nd in her class and plays soccer, basketball,
and softball; and
  WHEREAS, She is Salutatorian of her  class,  on  the  Superintendent's
Honor Roll, the National Honor Society co-president, Class of 2013 Pres-
ident, a member of Acapella Group, Band, Chorus, and Kiwanis Club volun-
teer; she plans to attend SUNY Cortland, and major in Criminology; and
  WHEREAS,  An  outstanding role model for her classmates, Callie Bullis
has brought honor to her family, school, and community; and
  WHEREAS, Callie Bullis may stand with pride in her achievements, expe-
riencing the satisfaction of her labors and the joy of  her  accomplish-
ments,  eager  to face the challenge of new experiences as she continues
her education; and
  WHEREAS, Callie Bullis represents the potential inherent in  our  most
precious  resource, our youth; this Legislative Body is pleased to honor
this young woman, recognizing her achievements and the  promise  of  her
future; now, therefore, be it
  RESOLVED,  That  this  Legislative  Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Callie Bullis upon the occasion of her recognition by  the  Orange
County  Interscholastic  Athletic  Association  as  a 2013 OCIAA Scholar
Athlete, and to wish her well in her future endeavors; and be it further
  RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Callie Bullis.
